On 10 February, WIUT proudly marked Uzbek Heritage Day, dedicated to commemorating the anniversaries of the births of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur - two prominent figures of our cultural and literary heritage.
The campus was filled with an inspiring atmosphere of creativity and tradition, as students and staff came together to celebrate Uzbek identity through a rich programme of activities. The day featured a poetry slam that gave voice to literary talent, a powerful Uzbek drama performance, vibrant singing and dancing that showcased our cultural diversity, an engaging quiz that brought together knowledge and fun, an art exhibition highlighting the creativity of Uzbek artists, and a book fair celebrating our literary treasures.
A special highlight was the Uzbek Culture Charity Fair, where students presented handmade items, traditional products, and a wide range of national delicacies.
We are especially grateful to the students, staff and volunteers whose energy and talent made the day so memorable. All proceeds from the fair will be donated to the Warm Heart Charity Society to support those in need.
