As a Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) student, you may wish to transfer or further your studies at the University of Westminster (UK).

The courses available for transfer/progress are as follows (updated for Academic Year 2022/23):

Year of Entry Courses Entry Requirements
Progression to Level 4,

Year 1 at UoW

Students who complete the Certificate of International Foundation Studies (CIFS) programme at WIUT are eligible to apply to ALL Undergraduate Courses at level 4 at the University of Westminster (UK) except for the following:
  • Any art and design or architecture-based courses requiring a portfolio;
  • Life Sciences courses (including BSc Cognitive and Clinical Psychology but excluding the other Psychology courses);
  • Creative Writing courses;
  • English Literature courses;
  • Law with French courses;
  • Theatre Studies and combinations courses;
  • Translation Studies courses.
Exclusions include courses where there are subject specific requirements or portfolio requirement.
  • Successful completion of the CIFS (foundation level 3) with an overall minimum of 50% and a PASS in all subjects.
  • A Pass in the CIFS’ Academic English module with a minimum of 60% or an IELTS score of 6.0 (depending on UoW’s course specific requirement).
Progression to Level 5,

Year 2 at UoW

Students who complete Year 1 (level 4) of a Bachelor’s Course at WIUT [listed on Progression to Level 4, Year 1 at UoW] are eligible to apply for Year 2 (level 5) of the following Bachelor’s Courses at UoW:
  • BA (Hons) International Business
  • BA (Hons) Business Management
  • BA (Hons) Business Management (Marketing)
  • BA (Hons) Business Management (Digital Business)
  • BA (Hons) Business Management (Human Resources)
  • BA (Hons) Business Management (Economics)
  • BA (Hons) Finance and Business Management
  • BSc (Hons) Economics / BSc (Hons) Financial Economics
  • BSc (Hons) Finance
  • BSc (Hons) Computer Science (transfers from WIUT’s BSc Business Information Systems)
Entry to other level 5 programmes not listed can be considered on a case-by-case basis by the relevant UoW Course Leader.
  • Successful completion of the first year (level 4) at WIUT achieving a minimum of 60% overall (Applications with an average lower than 60% will also be considered individually).
  • No English level (e.g. IELTS) required.
Progression to Level 6,

Year 3 at UoW

Students who complete Year 2 (level 5) of a Bachelor’s Course at WIUT [listed on Progression to Level 5, Year 2 at UoW] are eligible to apply for Year 3 (level 6) of the following Bachelor’s Courses at UoW:
  • BA (Hons) Global Trade and Business (from any business degree at WIUT)
  • BSc (Hons) Computer Science (from BSc Business Information Systems at WIUT)
Entry to other level 6 programmes can be considered on a case-by-case basis by the relevant UoW Course Leader.
  • Successful completion of the second year (level 5) of bachelor degree at WIUT achieving a minimum of 60% overall.
  • No English level (e.g. IELTS) required.
Studying at Master’s Degree level at UoW Students who successfully complete a 3-year Bachelor’s Course at WIUT, are eligible to apply for a Master’s Course (level 7) at UoW in most subjects.

 

Students of WIUT are also eligible to receive 15% alumni discount towards their postgraduate studies at UoW.
  • For most Master’s Courses - successful completion of a Bachelor’s Course at WIUT with a minimum of a lower second-class honours degree (2:2).
  • Some Postgraduate Courses may have higher requirements, so please check the UoW Postgraduate Course pages for specific entry requirements.
Tuition Fees

Should you decide to transfer or further your studies at the University of Westminster (UK), you will have to pay UoW tuition fees.
