On 24 September 2025, WIUT hosted two important events aimed at enhancing students’ legal awareness and promoting a safe, responsible environment. The first meeting, “Cybersecurity and the Prevention of Offences,” featured Ulugʻbek Choriev, representative of the Cybercrime Prevention Department at the Tashkent City Main Department of Internal Affairs. Mr Choriev outlined the growing risks of cybercrime, effective ways to protect personal data and accounts, and the importance of digital responsibility for students.
The second roundtable involved representatives of Mirobod District law enforcement and was addressed by A. Aydarov, First Deputy Head of the Mirobod District Internal Affairs Department. The discussion focused on the prevention of offences and the dangers of drug abuse, emphasising respect for the law, the real consequences of harmful behaviours, and the role young people must play in building a healthy, law-abiding society.
Both events concluded with practical recommendations and commitments to continue awareness-raising activities, regular seminars and workshops, as well as initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, responsible online behaviour, and meaningful student engagement.
