Real-World Learning for the Students of the MA in Creative Industries Management

The Master of Arts in Creative Industries Management postgraduate programme at WIUT actively connects students with real-world industry environments. Over the weekend, students, accompanied by course leader Yuliya Paramonova and module leader for Fashion Production and Sustainable Practices Bhawna Katyal, visited the Bukhara Biennial organised by the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, a major contemporary art event featuring local and international artists. The visit offered valuable insight into contemporary art practices, curatorial approaches and the coordination of large-scale creative events.

Earlier this month, faculty and students attended selected showcases at Visa Fashion Week by invitation of the organisers, observing professional production processes, current trends and developments in the fashion sector, and networking with industry professionals. These activities give students first-hand experience of how creative projects are produced and delivered.

The programme provides a practice-focused curriculum in creative entrepreneurship, ethical leadership and project management across fashion, art, media and entertainment. It prepares graduates for roles in arts organisations, fashion and media companies, cultural institutions and creative enterprises, strengthening practical skills, expanding professional networks and deepening understanding of the creative economy.
