CAPACITY BUILDING IN HIGHER EDUCATION PROJECTS
Capacity Building projects in the field of higher education support international cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between higher education institutions in EU Member States and third countries. It facilitates the transfer of knowledge and experience from European institutions to partner universities in third countries, including Central Asia. This action aims to modernise, internationalise, and increase access to higher education in third countries through rigorous cooperation with EU Member States.
Capacity Building at WIUT
Different departments at WIUT have applied for Strand 2 of the Capacity Building Action call since 2015. Within this time period, WIUT has secured funding for three projects: CACTLE, TALENT, and CirculEC.
The CACTLE project secured CBHE funds in 2015 and organized the CACTLE center. As a part of this project, the center provided a number of trainings for university teachers under the Pedagogy section, as well as special vocational education on Entrepreneurship and business plan-writing for entrepreneurs across Uzbekistan. In the latter case, more than 200 female entrepreneurs participated in our courses, marking a testament to the center’s success.
As a part of the TALENT project, WIUT has successfully validated and introduced an MA in HRM and Talent Development in 2019-2020. MA in HRM and Talent Development is an accredited two-year master's program in human resources management. This degree was developed in collaboration with Vrije University in Brussels (Belgium).
The CirculEc project is an ongoing project that is set to introduce a number of new modules on the topic of Circular Economy and Circular Business models. It will also update existing disciplines to ensure that WIUT courses provide the skills necessary for the local labour market to address current environmental problems.
