CirculEc
Development of innovative curricula and modules in Circular Economy and Sustainable Development
WIUT is a part of the CirculEC project that aims to build the capacity of Central Asian Higher Education Institutions in the circular economy and related fields. This project supports skills development and practices that are aligned with the needs of the local labour markets and addresses current environmental challenges. The project will introduce a number of new modules and update the existing curriculum on the circular economy. The CirculEC was initiated in collaboration with 11 Central Asian and 4 European universities and received a funding from the Erasmus+ Capacity Building programme.

Overview:
The assessment provides an overview of the current regulations available in four Central Asian countries (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan). The report also identifies the progress and challenges in adopting the Circular Economy principles in these countries. Finally, it provides a needs analysis of curriculum development among higher educational institutions by reviewing the existing curriculum and identifying demand for new disciplines in the circular economy based on a survey collected from 11 universities across Central Asian countries.
