WIUT Students Take Active Part in the Nationwide “Dolzarb 90 Kun” Project

The “Dolzarb 90 Kun” Project is a nationwide initiative aimed at encouraging young people to use their summer break productively, meaningfully, and in ways that contribute to their personal, academic, and social development.

As part of this initiative, students of Westminster International University in Tashkent took part in a series of enriching cultural, educational, and recreational activities throughout June 2025. These experiences were designed to foster civic responsibility, national pride, healthy lifestyles, and greater appreciation of Uzbekistan’s cultural and natural heritage.

  •  “Silk and Spices” Festival, Bukhara (6–8 June):
WIUT students volunteered at the 21st annual “Silk and Spices” Festival in Bukhara. Their involvement provided valuable hands-on experience in supporting a large-scale cultural event.

  • Tavaksay Mountain Excursion (15 June):
A cultural and educational trip to Tavaksay promoted healthy living, teamwork, and a connection with Uzbekistan’s beautiful natural landscapes.

  • Cultural Visit to Yangiobod (22 June):
Thirty-one students explored the town of Yangiobod, visiting historical and environmental sites to broaden their ecological, cultural, and social understanding.

  • Theatre Visit – “The War Between Husband and Wife” (24 June):
To increase student engagement with the arts, WIUT’s Culture and Creativity Centre organised a visit to the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre. The performance encouraged reflection on important values such as mutual respect, tolerance, and civic responsibility.

  • Eco-Hike to the 21st Cascade Waterfall (29 June):
In collaboration with the Culture and Creativity Centre, WIUT students organised a hiking trip to the second waterfall of the 21st Cascade. The event aimed to promote environmental awareness, physical wellness, and a sense of adventure.

Through their active involvement in the “Dolzarb 90 Kun” project, WIUT students demonstrate strong initiative, teamwork, and engagement with the world beyond the classroom—further strengthening their role as responsible and well-rounded future leaders.
