Hult Prize Startup Competition at WIUT: Fostering Youth Entrepreneurship

On 26 February 2026, in recognition of Youth Day, Westminster International University in Tashkent hosted the Hult Prize Startup Competition - Campus Finals 2026, a startup pitching competition where shortlisted student teams presented innovative, impact-driven business ideas aimed at solving real-world challenges. Following the judges’ decision, three teams were selected as candidates to advance to the National Stage of the Hult Prize Competition.

The Hult Prize is widely recognised as one of the world’s largest student entrepreneurship programmes, running a year-long competition that supports students in building for-profit social ventures, with the winning team awarded USD 1,000,000 in funding.

Importantly, WIUT is also honoured to share that, for the first time in Uzbekistan’s history, the National Stage of the Hult Prize Competition (Country Level) will be hosted in Uzbekistan in May 2026, at the WIUT Campus, marking a significant milestone for student entrepreneurship and innovation nationwide.

WIUT is proud to support youth entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan by providing platforms where students can develop practical skills, test ideas responsibly, and build confidence through teamwork, mentoring, and live pitching. Startup competitions like this help translate promising concepts into viable, scalable solutions, strengthening Uzbekistan's innovation ecosystem in an inclusive, constructive way.
