WIUT places a lot of emphasis on the recruitment, support and development of its academic and professional staff. In 2024, efforts were concentrated on improving the performance management system and on creating and implementing a grade review policy. Over 150 members of staff were awarded merit-based salary increases before the beginning of the 2024‐2025 academic year. Other WIUT benefits offered in 2024‐2025 include the agricultural produce allowance, leave allowance and financial aid paid on special occasions (marriage and others). WIUT also offered other resources to help its employees maintain their well‐being and cope with stress such as flexible working hours, free of charge art, vocal and drama clubs and yoga lessons.
As WIUT keeps growing by increasing the number of its students and courses, new positions are also being introduced. In 2024‐2025 more than 75 permanent and 140 temporary employees were recruited and on board.
