WIUT Student Research Society Conference 2025

On 28 April 2025, Westminster International University in Tashkent successfully held the Student Research Society Conference 2025 under the theme “Research for a Sustainable Future”.

The conference consisted of three key sessions: Paper presentations open to all students across various disciplines, the presentation stage of the New Academic Talent 2025 competition, featuring shortlisted Level 6 and Level 7 WIUT students and the awarding and closing ceremony of the Research Skills Development Course competition.

This event provided an excellent platform for young researchers to share their ideas, engage in academic discussion, and contribute to addressing global challenges through innovative research. Participants also had the opportunity to strengthen their research skills, critical thinking, and professional networks.

WIUT & Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent Conclude Product Ideation Course!

Westminster International University in Tashkent and Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent have successfully completed the Product Ideation, Design, and Management Course, launched as part of the strategic partnership.

Out of 60+ applicants, 16 students completed the programme, forming four innovative startup teams. After weeks of mentorship, research, and business modelling, these teams showcased their ideas at Startup Pitch Day, demonstrating creativity and entrepreneurial potential.

Meet the Finalists:
• Sinxron – A digital solution for private education centres to streamline operations.
• EcoZam – A zero-waste e-commerce platform promoting sustainable shopping.
• Oshpaz – A marketplace connecting home chefs with customers.
• SkillSwap – A platform providing affordable skill development opportunities.

WIUT and the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding

This partnership is set to create new educational and professional opportunities for WIUT students and graduates while contributing to the sustainable growth of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry.

The agreement focuses on the exchange of expertise, the promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, and the development of innovative ideas by young professionals. A key aspect of the collaboration is the provision of skilled talent—WIUT students and graduates will have the opportunity to engage in internship programmes within the Committee and its regional divisions, gaining practical experience and supporting the industry’s development.

The partnership will encourage knowledge-sharing through lectures, seminars, masterclasses, and training sessions with tourism experts.
