WIUT Internship Fair 2024: Paving Pathways to Student Success! 

This event, organised by WIUT Career Development Centre, has unfolded as a golden opportunity for the students to ignite their professional journey and chart a course towards a thriving career.

More than 50 employers graced the fair, representing diverse spheres of work, including finance, IT, education, consulting, hospitality, and beyond. The air buzzed with anticipation as students engaged with HR managers from top companies, forging connections that transcend the boundaries of academia.

Special Guest Lecture: Combatting Tuberculosis, HIV Infection, Breast and Cervical Cancer at WIUT

Today, WIUT hosted a Special Guest Lecture addressing the crucial health and well-being theme of "Combatting Tuberculosis, HIV Infection, Breast and Cervical Cancer (Early Diagnosis and Prevention)" with esteemed speakers offering valuable insights into early diagnosis and prevention methods:

 • MD Malik Uteshev: Phthisiologist spearheading the USAID project against tuberculosis.
 • MD Murad Tashmetov: Oncogynecologist-Mammologist affiliated with the City Oncology and Radiology Center.

Forging partnership with the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan

WIUT recently hosted a high-level meeting with the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

Following an open discussion between the Rector Bakhrom Mirkasimov and WIUT students and First Deputy Chairman of the State Tax Committee Mubin Mirzayev and his leadership team, both sides agreed on future development steps,  professional training and employment opportunities for students and graduates, this event lays an important groundwork for a promising collaborative partnership.

WIUT launches the "CREATIVE FOCUS@WIUT" jointly with Focus School

Westminster International University in Tashkent, in collaboration with "FOCUS" Film and Theatre School, is pleased to announce the successful initiation of the inaugural session of a 8-week program, "CREATIVE FOCUS @ WIUT." This program is meticulously crafted to allow participants to expand their creative thinking skills, opening new perspectives for further learning, development and future careers. 

The curriculum encompasses diverse disciplines such as contemporary visual and digital arts, film, theater and performance, and television with various field visits and successful industry mentors. More than 50 students of the first session demonstrated a commendable level of interest and active engagement throughout the event.

Celebrations of WIUT's 22nd Anniversary (continued)

1. The Badminton Championship, where students, staff, and ALUMNI enthusiastically took part, added a spirited competitive edge, fostering camaraderie among participants. 

2. In the Poetry Slam, staff members of WIUT showcased their poetic talents, weaving words and creativity into expressive performances. 

3. A Lunch dedicated to academic achievements of the University and to honor colleagues' valuable contribution to research development at WIUT, provided a moment of appreciation and collaboration. 

4. Finally, a thrilling Football Championship — friendly game between ALUMNI and staff members, concluded the anniversary celebrations, uniting participants in the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

To celebrate WIUT's 22nd Anniversary, a series of engaging events unfolded.

The thrilling QUEST 'Squid Game' sets the stage for an immersive experience. Intellectual prowess shone in the ZAKOVAT game, while book enthusiasts of Book Club engaged in literary discussions at Bon! Cafe. Moreover, the unique lunch session allowed staff members to share more than 11 years of experience, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated the university's milestones and showcased the diverse talents within the WIUT community. The WIUT Dormitory brought artistic flair to the festivities by staging a captivating play in the vibrant and cultural style of Khorezm.

UoW Liaison Tutors visit WIUT

In its enduring partnership with WIUT, the University of Westminster (UoW) upholds a robust connection, enhanced by the regular visits of liaison tutors in September, January, and May each year. These dedicated tutors play a multifaceted role during their visits, offering valuable feedback, conducting classes, and acting as critical friends to monitor and support WIUT across various dimensions.

The concert was a vibrant celebration where Lyceum and university students extended heartfelt greetings to all defenders through poetry, dance, songs, and cartoon to honor and celebrate Homeland Defenders, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie.
