WIUT students won Karl Popper International Debate Tournament Featured

On 23-24 of April, the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent held a Karl Popper International Debate Competition among 8 International Universities of Tashkent.

Apart from WIUT, the competition included MDIST, Turin Polytechnic University, Yeoju Technical Institute in Tashkent, State University of World Languages, Tashkent State University of Law, Inha University in Tashkent and University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Westminster International University in Tashkent was represented by Abdulaziz Yunusov, Javokhir Kenjaboev and Khondamir Rakhimov, level 4 BA in Commercial Law students. During a very short period of time our students prepared for the Debates, supported by the Commercial Law Course Leader Malika Mukimova, member of the Commercial Law team Roza Agababyan and SU President Tolibjon Mustafoev. The debates were very heated and difficult. WIUT team has beaten 3 Universities and reached the Final during which they played with Turin Polytechnic University.

The topic of debates for the Final was " What is more important: Personal Privacy or National Security?". After tough debates and a round of questions, the judges counted the points and awarded the First Place to Westminster International University in Tashkent. We congratulate our team with the well deserved victory and wish them further success in all their endavours!!!
