Westminster International University in Tashkent in collaboration with UN Agencies, organized a guest lecture for the Education for Justice (E4J) initiative. E4J seeks to prevent crime and promote cultures of lawfulness through educational activities designed for primary, secondary and tertiary levels. On the 26th of September the first lecture of the series in this academic year was held by UN officials.
The lecture was organized as a form of preparation for the Tashkent International Model United Nations (TIMUN) which will take place in March of 2019. The event is organized by the WIUT International MUN Society and Student’s Union in honor of the Doha Declaration. It is supported by the WIUT administration and organized in correspondence to UNODC regional office in Central Asia.
TIMUN is to take place in the following March under the motto “Promoting Education for Justice”. 500 delegates from all over the world and Uzbekistan will join TIMUN 2019. The delegates will be split into eight UN Committees and Specialized Agencies with registration process to be conducted by the International MyMUN Platform.
