Social science knowledge and sustainable agricultural development along the Silk Road Featured

On 30 October – 1 November 2018, Economics Department professors, lecturers and research assistants of Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) presented their works on the “Social science knowledge and sustainable agricultural development along the Silk Road” conference. The conference was co-organized by the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) and Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers (TIIAME) – conference venue. The aim of the conference – to stimulate academic environment for social sciences of agricultural development in Central Asia and to present the results of ongoing research projects.

Experts from UK, USA, Germany, Netherlands and Central Asia participated at the conference. Among the speakers from WIUT were Dr. Ziyodullo Parpiev, Dr. Bakhrom Mirkasimov, Dr. Nargiza Alimukhamedova, Bekhzod Egamberdiev, Iroda Komilova, Zafar Kurbanov, Salim Turdaliev, Khilola Ruziboeva, Dilnovoz Abdurazzakova and Akhtem Useinov.

WIUT fellows successfully presented their research and received constructive and valuable feedback.
