Current Position and Responsibilities at WIUT

Head of UNESCO Chair in the Knowledge Economy

Tursun Shodiev is responsible for facilitating research activities of the staff and students on the knowledge economy, conducting research on the transformation of Uzbekistan’s economy to the knowledge based economy, disseminating the research findings to local universities and scientific organizations. In addition he organizes and participates in the conferences, devoted to this problem, lead modules: “Econometrics”,” Managerial Economics”,” Economic Analysis of Uzbekistan”,” Macroeconomic Strategies”, undertake teaching ( lectures and tutorials), develop new teaching and assessment materials within the subject areas, provide support and guidance to Visiting Lecturers, conduct research activities, including TEMPUS projects, provide consultancy services for companies, etc.
