Current Position and Responsibilities at WIUT
Martin Seviour is currently the Head of Professional Development and English at WIUT.
He is responsible for coordinating staff development in the University. He also looks after English language provision in the form of English for Academic Purposes delivered at levels 3 and 4 as well as general English and IELTS preparation courses for prospective students. In addition, he coordinates the growing number of corporate training courses WIUT offers to clients including the UN, ADB and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Geography - Liverpool University, UK
M.Ed (TESOL) -Manchester University, UK
His main research interests are in the areas of academic literacy and teacher development.
Professional Experience and Selected Publications

- He has over 25 years of experience as a teacher, teacher trainer and materials developer and have worked in many different countries including Sierra Leone (Africa), Mongolia, China and Finland. He spent over 10 years with the British Council in Tashkent where he was the Deputy Director in charge of several major education reform projects. In 2005 he was recruited by the University of Westminster to join the senior academic staff at WIUT.
