Currently Carlos Martinez is a Senior Lecturer and Module Leader for Public Law and Alternative Dispute Resolutions modules.

His main research interests lie in the areas of Human Rights Law and the issues of Democratic Development of the former Soviet Union Republics.
Professional Experience and Selected Publications
After he left the University he went to London where he worked in several companies. His main job was, as a General Manager, the day to day running of a chain of bookshops in Central London. He always wanted to come back to the University and the opportunity came 4 years ago when he arrived in Uzbekistan. Before joining WIUT he worked for the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the University of World Languages as a Spanish Language teacher. He was employed by the Students Union of WIUT as a Spanish teacher, before joining the Law Faculty. Last year he published two articles regarding the Constitutional development of Uzbekistan and he has several projects in progress covering the different aspects of Islamic Law, the analysis of the Soviet Constitutions and the symbols of Picasso’s Guernica.
