Staff
The majority of the academic staff are from Uzbekistan but have gained either their undergraduate or postgraduate degrees from the USA, UK or some other foreign country. Approximately 10% of our staff are from countries such as the UK and the USA. The staff has substantial international experience which is used to enhance the teaching programmes and is of considerable benefit to the students.
The University is a young institution and its research capacity is still developing. Staff is engaged in research and scholarship with interests in a number of areas, some linked to the transitional process that economies such as Uzbekistan are experiencing, others related to particular interests in their specialist area. Several members of staff have been successful in gaining scholarships for postgraduate study to doctoral level in the USA, UK, Germany and Switzerland.
