WIUT to celebrate its 10th anniversary!

Westminster International University in Tashkent will reach a special milestone – 10 years of success on January 16, 2012. Celebrating the best of its history and looking forward to the future, the University will reflect on its numerous achievements.

The 10th Anniversary will be marked with a variety of events and projects throughout the week starting January 16. We will invite staff, alumni, students and guests from London to celebrate this great achievement with us.

The schedule of events will begin on Monday January 16, exactly 10 years after the approval of Decree #22 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan. There will be traditional “plov party” for all staff and students in WIUT Sports Centre at 1.00pm. In the evening, at 6.00pm there will be a performance of WIUT Drama Club.

The series of events will continue till the end of the week. On Tuesday there will be a guest lecture by Rita Bellamy, a member of the Court of Governors of UoW. On Wednesday participants will enjoy the concert by newly organised music band of WIUT lyceum students.

And of course, all alumni are invited to attend “WIUT Alumni ReUnion Party” on Friday, January 20, at 6.30pm. There will be sports tournaments on Thursday and Friday.

We are looking forward to this truly being a great celebration week. We will open our campus to all who have shared history with the university!
