Westminster International University in Tashkent in partnership with University of Westminster (UK) and the UNESCO Chair in Knowledge Economy are hosting an international conference:

Innovation for Sustainable Development and its impact on Welfare Improvement and Societal Change»

Location: Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Themes: Papers should address one of the themes below. Where a paper crosses a theme then the author should indicate the theme that they prefer the paper to be attributed to.

  1. Business Innovations for Welfare development.
  2. Innovations in Higher education; Higher Education for Sustainable Growth and development
  3. Legal Framework for enhancement of Business innovations and Welfare support
  4. Information Communication Technologies in Business Innovations as a Driver of Societal Change


The Editorial Board shall select the papers to be presented and published. Submitted abstracts will be judged on how closely they fit the topics of the conference. Languages: English, Uzbek or Russian.


Your abstract should describe the purpose of the work in relation to the problem or the method of approach to the research, summarizing the conclusions that will be made from the research. The Conference Editorial Committee will review all submissions, and accepted authors will be asked to submit a full paper.

Please consider the following when submitting your abstract:

  • Submissions must be made online to: conference2013@wiut.uz;
  • Abstracts should be one page A4 (250 – 300 words). Inclusion of key figures, tables, diagrams, and mainly references are strongly encouraged;
  • Papers must not have been previously published and, if accepted, cannot be published though other media;
  • Authors of full papers only will be presenting at the conference.
  • Please provide complete contact details in your submission using the application form.
  • Papers presented and published in the conference proceedings will be considered the intellectual property of the university.

Notification of final acceptance, at the latest 25th September 2013
