Spring intake for CIFS
On March 5, WIUT organises the last examination for the spring intake of Certificate of International Foundation Studies (CIFS) course. It is worth reminding that this new course was started in November 2009, and about 160 students were registered for CIFS to study English and Mathematics.
CIFS course aims to prepare the prospective students to the entrance examination of Westminster International University in Tashkent. It creates more opportunities for them to enter this University.
CIFS courses are delivered in Uzbek, Russian and English. The course is organised in part-time mode, and lasts one or two academic years based on the level of the student. One academic year consists of two semesters and lasts for about 30 weeks.
The same Academic Quality Assurance process applies to CIFS in terms of academic delivery structure as any other course of the University. The punctual attendance of students to the classes is required and the regular exams will be conducted during their study.
The students should pass the exams in English and Mathematics to be registered to CIFS. Maths test for CIFS entry standards are based on 9 years of secondary school education. This course has two intakes: in November and March. Any prospective students interested to join in March, should attend the entrance examination on March 5, at 10:00 am.
